Books!

Eventing Nation had a ton of books listed a little bit ago in this post and I hopped on Amazon to pick up a few. Namely, these ones (list from the post):

  • The Event Groom’s Handbook by Lisa Waltman and Jeanne Kane.
  • Training the Three-Day Event Horse and Rider by James C. Wofford.
  • The BHS Complete Manual of Horse & Stable Management (British Horse Society) by Josephine Batty-Smith.
  • Common Sense Dressage by Sally O’Connor.
So far I've received all but the BHS book. Common Sense Dressage has me absolutely enthralled though. Lots of pictures, diagrams, and very easy to read. I'm hunting down a quality lunging cavesson as I type! I see lots of holes in Dassah's training and I can't wait to get down to business and working on them.

The Event Groom's Handbook and Training the Three-Day are all waiting for me to crack them open. I'm so busy with school work and reading that I don't know when I'll have time for them. If only I didn't want to graduate this semester.....
